Cynthia Carter

Cynthia Carter is Senior Lecturer in the Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, Cardiff University, UK. She is co-author of Violence and the Media (2003; with C.K. Weaver). Recent edited books include Critical Readings: Media and Gender (2004; with L. Steiner), and Critical Readings: Violence and the Media (2006; with C.K. Weaver). She is founding co-editor of the journal Feminist Media Studies and is an editorial board member of various journals.
