Citizen Journalism: Global Perspectives

Leysia Palen is Assistant Professor of Computer Science and faculty affiliate of the Institute of Cognitive Science and the Alliance for Technology, Learning and Society (ATLAS) Institute at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She directs the ConnectivIT Lab, which researches human computer interaction (HCI) and computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW). Her work focuses on the social implications of technology use, including safety-critical systems, personal technology such as mobile telephony and texting, and crisis informatics.
