Stephen D. Reese is Jesse H. Jones Professor of Journalism and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Communication at the University of Texas. He is co-author of Mediating the Message: Theories of Influence on Mass Media Content, editor of Framing Public Life: Perspectives on Media and Our Understanding of the Social World, and area editor for “Media Production & Content” in the International Encyclopedia of Communication.
